What a wacky and fun weekend we had in Somerset, NJ! Snow and then more snow, and still so many of you came out to the Sugarloaf show and made it a success for me and many others. Thank you!! After the packup Sunday night, I drove all the way home to Vermont, with my trusty companion (a steaming cup of Starbucks French roast), arriving at 3AM, very tired but happy and excited. Why drive home that late on still slushy roads? To wake up the next morning, pull my snowboard and boots out of the attic, and do 9 runs on my own snowy backhill, that’s why! I just came in, my heart is pumping, my shirt is soaked, and I’m smiling from having ridden a foot of fresh snow in October, and doing it the old school way - hiking the hill! Now I’m heating up some (more) coffee, the workshop is heating up and I’ve got three solid weeks before the Sugarloaf show in Gaithersburg, MD to make some of the new designs I sketched this Fall. There are 12 or 14 ideas that I’m in a panic to get made into silver before the show. I’ll try! If you’re in the Maryland/Virginia area the very weekend before Thanksgiving I hope you can come to the show and stop by my booth - It’ll be a great Fall weekend and I’ll see you there!
